BOOKINGS, REFERRALS AND CONSULTATIONS

Bookings

The office is administered by Joanna Onoufriou, Sam Cooke and Koula Refahi and is open weekdays from 9am to 12noon and 1pm to 3pm.

To check availability of places on a group or workshop, please ring the office on 020-8341 2277, fax us on 020-8340 0426 or e-mail office@spectrumtherapy.co.uk.

To book on a workshop please send the total fee along with the title, workshop leader’s name and date of the group, and your name, address and telephone number. Cheques should be made payable to the workshop leader unless otherwise advised.

Please note that a telephone call does not secure a place on a workshop. Upon receipt of your booking and payment you will be sent a receipt card to confirm your place on the group and that your payment has been received. Please check workshop times and dates at time of booking.

A 10% non-refundable cancellation fee for administration and booking costs will be charged if you are unable to attend a workshop. On the longer term professional courses (one year course, post-graduate and counselling course) this will be 25% of the acceptance fee to cover interview and administration fees.

Occasionally, workshops at Spectrum have to be cancelled or rescheduled. We don’t make these decisions lightly and of course in these cases all monies are returned to the participant or transferred to another workshop.

Workshops at Spectrum tend to fill quickly, so, to avoid disappointment, please book well in advance.

Referrals and consultations: applying for individual psychotherapy

There are three ways to apply for individual or group psychotherapy at Spectrum. One way is to call the office and ask to be referred through the referral team. A member of the referral team will contact you within three days and talk to you on the phone about what you are looking for. They will then make a direct referral to an appropriate therapist. There is no charge for this service. The referral team includes the following Spectrum practitioners; Kathryn Bieber, Debbi Burch, Sue Crofton, Jax Freedman, Teresa O’Shea, Roz Pendlebury and Lynda Porter.

Another way to apply for individual or group psychotherapy is to read the therapists biographies in the brochure or on our website. You can then apply directly to any of them through the office or our website. A third way is to arrange a private consultation with Gill Doust, Maggie McKenzie, Julia Naish or Anna Patterson who will then refer you to a therapist. There is a fee for this service. There is also a network of Spectrum accredited UKCP therapists practicing in the UK and abroad who we are happy to refer you to.
