Virginia Satir, a legendary family therapist, created a deeply humanistic theory and philosophy of working with people to bring about positive change and growth, healing and learning in ourselves, our families and in work groups and organisations.
From Judy’s work with Virginia in the 1980’s, she has video material to share which is inspiring, moving and immensely creative. This group is open to all and offers the opportunity to reconnect to Virginia’s work or to get to know it for the first time.
In these meetings we shall follow Virginia’s work with a family. First the family interview, next the family reconstruction process and finally the parts party structure. At each meeting we shall share and discuss our responses to the video extracts and practice some of the structures she used in her work.
Participants will gain the most by attending all three sessions. These bookings will be prioritised. Each meeting will focus on different video material.
The workshop leader is Judy Hargreaves.
Three Thursdays: June 21, November 8, 2012, and March 21, 2013. All meetings will be held from 6-9pm.
The series of three is £75 or £35 per evening.
To book on this workshop please download and fill in a booking form and send with your cheque payable to Judy Hargreaves to the Spectrum office.
