About the men for men programme

The men for men programme provides group experiences for men in which they can explore a variety of issues such as interpersonal relationships, identity and gender, improving self management and the working through of life scripts and injunctions that can inhibit personal growth and relationship development. Recurring issues include dealing with pain, learning to manage feelings of vulnerability, growing the skill to be in touch with and touched by all aspects of life, learning to regulate satisfying contact, managing conflict and power struggles and learning to communicate needs in a satisfying way.

The men for men programme is under the direction of Terry Cooper. Terry leads three on-going men for men groups. One group meets fortnightly on a Thursday evening. The other two meet one day per month on a Monday from 10am-1pm and the other on a Wednesday from 10am-4.30pm. Mike Wibberley, a Spectrum practitioner, leads a fortnightly group for men on Monday evenings from 7-9.30pm. Paul Allsop, a Spectrum core staff member, leads a group for men over sixty which meets fortnightly on Friday afternoons from 1-4pm. If you would like more information about the men for men programme or advice regarding men’s issues please contact Terry Cooper.
