Psychotherapy and Counselling Online

The aim of this course is to provide therapists and counsellors who are already doing face-to-face work with clients with the additional resources to work online, using skype or telephone. 

We will cover:

• technology: setting the service up, dealing with technological problems, the benefits and disadvantages of using this technology in psychotherapy and counselling
• clinical and ethical issues and strategies specific to online work
• transference and the therapeutic alliance in online work
• professional memberships and accreditations for online work
• marketing and website verification

Participants must attend both sessions and will be provided with a resource and booklist. As part of the course participants will work together clinically online between the two sessions.

Dates, times and fees

Thursday, September 22 and Friday, November 4, 2011, 9am-12.30pm, daily. The fee for the workshop is £110.
