Spectrum Practitioner

Koula is a Spectrum trained graduate and a registered member of the BACP (MBACP). Koula works with individuals and couples at Spectrum and is a member of the Spectrum referral team.

Koula worked for many years in business and finance.  She then worked in higher education and moved on to Haringey Council to work on projects supporting unemployed adults and adolescents to gain qualifications and support them to find work. She previously ran a therapeutic practice at the Bloomsbury Health Centre.  Koula has also worked as a volunteer at MIND in Haringey.  She gives talks to students at the University of Westminter about mental health and how therapy can support in the work place.

How Koula works

During sessions she will listen and encourage you to explore your issues, anxieties and concerns.  She will support you to gain clarity of your patterns of behaviour and to look at old habits/messages and define realistic goals for the future.  To be aware and curious about yourself rather than critical.  Koula works with empathy and warmth and will support you to face life's challenges as well as challenging behavioural patterns that keep you stuck.  Koula has a keen interest in multicultural communities and identities.  She works with people from all religious backgrounds, sexual orientation and cultures.

Koula adheres to the code of ethics and practice of both Spectrum and The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).  Sessions are held at Spectrum and are confidential.
